Steve’s passion for ministry began after receiving Christ in 1985.   Volunteering for children’s ministry in the Foursquare Church he was a member of sparked his desire to see more children, parents & families in church.  With this desire, came the ministry philosophy that he believes was key to the success of several early childhood, 5th & 6th grade youth programs.  These simple guidelines were used to establish positive and loving relationships between the church, kids, leaders & families.

1)      We must make sure that the children know they are loved by God, the teachers & leaders that are ministering to them.

2)      Fun should always be a prerequisite. If you, the leader are not having fun and do not want to be there, how do you think they feel?

3)      If we want to see parents come to church and stay involved in the church… Love their Children!

Steve’s heart is that children should look back on the time they were in church and recall that it was fun and that they were truly loved. This kind of remembrance helps children to have very fond memories.  This makes an eternal mark on their hearts, leaving good soil to plant seeds in.

Aside from the successful development of several different children’s ministry programs, he served as a leader of the child evangelism team, on missions’ trips developing VBS curriculum for the outreach as well.

Seeing a need in the body and filling it with a team was another part of his pioneering spirit. Besides developing early childhood and pre junior high groups he pioneered a college and career age group to continue developing leaders from those moving on from high school groups. A Softball Ministry and an Open Gym Night developed an ongoing relationship with the city of Marysville.

Being an entrepreneur and wanting the resources to fund these different ministries, Steve, was instrumental in the development and implementation of concession stand ministry that was operated by several of the church andsister  ministries to help support their programs and sponsor kids.

He attended Storehouse Ministries International School of Ministry and Graduated a Licensed minister in October of 1994. Joining Storehouse Ministries International as part of the pioneering staff of Celebration Church in Lynwood, Washington as a children’s pastor, he helped to develop the children’s, youth and worship ministries.

Steve and his family relocated to Oceanside, California in June of 1996. Leaving the ministry for some time left a void, the Lord has called Steve & his wife Barb to partner with the SMI Team and start the Storehouse Ministries/ Vision America Schools of Ministry, the first school started January 15th 2007 in Marysville, Washington, they relocated to Haymarket Virginia where Steve has taken on the role of Regional Director of East Coast Operations. Currently attending a neighborhood bible study and starting to teach an SMI( Storehouse Ministries International)  Hearing the Voice of God workshop for a home group.  He is also working to secure 2009 east coast training & seminar events for the SMI Team
God has given me a passion to bring a message that restores Hope to the Heart and Fresh Fire to the soul. Equip the saints to save the lost and restore the walking wounded.

Steve & Barb have been married 31 years, they have 3 beautiful daughters and 3 grandchildren
